- Turf is an especially poor choice for the shoreline area due to high fertilizer use and potential for grass clippings to enter the water body. Native plantings require little maintenance in the form of fertilizer that can enter the water body via storm water runoff and encourage harmful algal blooms.

18” floor tile throughout entire home. No carpet installed anywhere. Certain types of carpet emit VOCs that can contribute to poor indoor air quality. Carpets also have been found to accumulate various allergens unless frequently vacuumed with high efficiency equipment. . All grout lines between tiles will be less than ¼” wide. Grout tends to harbor bacteria and other indoor air pollutants due to its porosity.
